Amerika Prestige Awards Celebrates Visionary Leaders and Humanitarians for Community Impact

The 9th Edition of the Amerika Prestige Awards successfully convened on May 23, 2025, at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre International in Los Angeles. This prestigious event gathered distinguished leaders, professionals, and humanitarian advocates for an evening of recognition. Produced by Sam Azurel, an organizer with over two decades of experience, the awards celebrated excellence and community leadership.

Outstanding individuals received Certificates of Recognition from the City of Los Angeles and California State Assembly, alongside commemorative statue awards. Notable honorees included Lynda P. Johnson, the first Filipina American mayor of Cerritos; John Mirisch, three-time mayor of Beverly Hills; and Sir James C. Baker II for his philanthropic Philippine Feeding and Support Program, aiding over 7,000 children. Additionally, Esteban Steven Escobar was recognized for Diversity News Magazine, and a nurse for 35 years of service and impactful writings.
