This leadership overhaul signals a maturation of Buffalo Biodiesel from a regional player into a national industrial powerhouse. By integrating high-level legal and financial expertise, the firm is effectively de-risking its rapid $300 million expansion, ensuring long-term operational stability while aggressively scaling its circular economy business model across North America.
Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. has announced a strategic restructuring of its executive leadership team to support an ambitious $300 million growth initiative. Following a major capital partnership with Verite Capital Partners, the company is scaling its operations from the Northeastern U.S. to cover a footprint stretching from Montreal to Miami. This expansion is expected to create over 600 new jobs, solidifying the firm's position as a leader in the renewable energy and used cooking oil recycling sector.
The company has appointed Frank Balon, formerly of Steuben Foods, as President and Chief Legal Officer to lead this transition. Founder Sumit Majumdar expressed full confidence in Balon’s ability to scale the organization, citing his unique blend of operational and legal expertise. Balon has already begun assembling a high-caliber team, signaling a clear shift toward professionalized, aggressive corporate governance as the company enters its most significant growth phase to date.
To bolster its institutional strength, Buffalo Biodiesel has recruited top-tier legal talent, including former Erie County prosecutor Ryan Haggerty as Chief State Litigator and former Assistant United States Attorney Jeremiah Lenihan as Chief Federal Litigator. Furthermore, Peter Grisanti has joined the executive suite as Chief Financial Officer. These strategic appointments are designed to fortify the company's legal, financial, and operational frameworks as it targets 25 states of operation.
