This mission marks a pivotal shift in East Malaysia’s industrial development by integrating French technical expertise into Sabah’s energy sector. By bridging international investors with local stakeholders, CCIFM is effectively catalyzing long-term capital inflow, fostering sustainable infrastructure growth, and positioning Sabah as a critical hub for regional energy innovation.
CCI France Malaysia (CCIFM) recently concluded a high-level business delegation to Sabah, connecting over 50 representatives from 25 French and Malaysian companies. Held alongside the Sabah Oil, Gas & Energy Conference and Exhibition (SOGCE) 2026, this strategic mission underscores the growing commitment of French enterprises to expanding their industrial footprint within East Malaysia’s dynamic economic landscape.
The delegation explored key investment opportunities through engagements with Invest Sabah and the Strategic Planning Energy Commission of Sabah. Participants gained critical insights during site visits to the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park and Sapangar Bay Port, reinforcing Sabah’s emerging status as a prime destination for international industrial expansion and long-term economic collaboration.
Highlighting the visit, the CCI France Malaysia–TotalEnergies Pavilion showcased diverse French expertise in energy, engineering, and telecommunications. With support from Ambassador Marc Abensour, the initiative successfully fostered cross-border partnerships, cementing the role of French technology in supporting Sabah’s sustainable development and the broader energy ecosystem for years to come.
