This initiative offers a proactive, community-based response to Pasadena's mental health crisis. By providing free stress tests and introducing the Dianetics approach, volunteers empower individuals with tools to understand and address personal suffering, promoting mental well-being and a long-standing alternative solution.
Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles area are facing a critical mental health crisis, with nearly 32% of California adults reporting persistent anxiety and depressive symptoms. Local assessments consistently rank mental health as a top community priority. In response, dedicated volunteers are offering a proactive approach to well-being, aligning with the 76th anniversary of L. Ron Hubbard’s seminal work, Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
For over seven decades, Dianetics has presented a precise explanation for the underlying causes of human suffering. It introduces the concept of the 'Reactive Mind'—the hidden part of the mind that records painful experiences. Volunteers emphasize this Reactive Mind as the source of unexplainable stress, fears, and negative emotions, providing a practical solution to address these past traumas and restore natural vitality.
To actively engage the community, volunteers are delivering free stress tests to Pasadena pedestrians at 35 S. Raymond Ave. These complimentary evaluations help individuals identify the origins of their stress and learn how Dianetics techniques can assist in overcoming mental barriers. All passersby are invited to visit the volunteer station or Dianetics.org for actionable answers and improved well-being.
