Phoenix Youth Gain Moral Guidance Through The Way to Happiness Workshop Series

Young members of the Phoenix Latin community recently completed a transformative two-day workshop at the Church of Scientology of Phoenix. Hosted in collaboration with the community organization Salud en Balance, the program utilized the nonreligious guide The Way to Happiness to instill core values such as honesty, responsibility, and mutual respect in local youth. By focusing on practical life skills, the initiative aims to empower participants to make positive decisions that benefit their families and the broader community.

Led by educator Teresa Sosa, this partnership addresses the growing need for proactive youth guidance in response to rising local crime statistics and juvenile detention rates in Maricopa County. Through interactive discussions and group activities, the children explored how simple, common-sense principles can lead to more successful and harmonious lives. The curriculum emphasized that personal accountability serves as the foundation for both individual well-being and a stronger, safer society for future generations.

This initiative reflects a wider commitment by the Church of Scientology to support character development and humanitarian values through accessible education. With The Way to Happiness translated into over 110 languages, the program continues to provide a universal framework for moral living. By equipping children with these essential tools, the organizers are fostering a culture of integrity, helping tomorrow’s leaders navigate complex social challenges with confidence and a clear ethical perspective.
