Roots Rocker DownTown Mystic Announces New Single Maybe Love's A Crime Release Date

Roots rocker DownTown Mystic is set to captivate audiences once again with the upcoming release of his latest single, Maybe Love's A Crime. Distributed worldwide by The Orchard/Sony Music, the track arrives on October 9, followed by a strategic US College Radio push on October 13. This new material builds on the momentum of his 2026 EPs, which earned significant critical acclaim for their authentic, classic rock sound.

The recording process showcases a masterclass in musicianship, featuring keyboard virtuoso Jeff Levine and a powerhouse rhythm section comprised of drummer Steve Holley and bassist Paul Page. The result is a seamless, one-take shuffle that highlights the raw, muscular performance style DownTown Mystic is known for.

Following this release, Sha-La Music will continue its prolific run with the highly anticipated On E Street Remix – The Album, dropping on Black Friday. As DownTown Mystic cements his reputation as a vital force in modern rock, fans can expect a continued commitment to the fundamental songwriting and production values that have defined his career since the late eighties.
