Star Burger Named Official Burger Partner of the University of Miami Athletics Program

Star Burger, the premier fast-casual destination located at 4901 SW Eighth St., is proud to announce its new partnership with University of Miami Athletics, officially becoming the Official Burger of the Miami Hurricanes. This collaboration introduces the exclusive "Canes Burger," a culinary tribute to the university featuring a double-stacked, 100% grass-fed beef patty, aged cheddar, a crispy tostón, and the restaurant’s signature Cat 5 Sauce on a toasted potato bun.

Developed in collaboration with Hurricanes star athlete Malachi Toney, the Canes Burger is designed to mirror the iconic colors of the University of Miami. The deep green of the Cat 5 pesto and the vibrant golden orange of the crispy plantain reflect the spirit of "The U." According to general manager Gianluca Piccolo, the menu item blends American cheddar and Cuban plantains to celebrate both the university’s heritage and the Estrella family’s roots.

This permanent addition to the menu marks a significant milestone for Star Burger, which opened its flagship location just minutes from campus earlier this year. Beyond the food, Star Burger will host live broadcasts of Miami Hurricanes football games throughout the 2026-2027 season, inviting fans to enjoy the atmosphere at their 2,750-square-foot facility, which features a spacious, climate-controlled terrace overlooking the historic Coral Gables entrance.
